While Cruella de Vil might be the villain of 101 Dalmatians, she was also a fashion icon. So is it any surprise that Glenn Close might want to own her wardrobe for herself?

Well, according to Insider, it seems that the actress actually does own all of the costumes that she wore during the filming of the live action Disney movie. In fact, it seems that it was part of the contract that Close got the chance to keep all of Cruella de Vil‘s outfits.

Of course, if you ever watched the 1996 movie, you know that some of these costumes were truly fantastic. And that means they were expensive (I mean Cruella de Vil wanted a coat made from the skin of Dalmatian puppies, so you know she had expensive taste).

In a recent interview, Glenn Close revealed that, “when they found out how expensive they were, they were unhappy that it was in my contract. They wanted to make another copy, another set, for me. I said no.”

Glenn Close owns the costumes she wore as Cruella de Vil

When it comes to any movie that Glenn Close is in, we expect amazing things. And her turn as the villain Cruella is no different. She was truly brilliant in the role and it seems that she also enjoyed her time as the iconic villain.

I think it is amazing that the actress was able to bring home all of the costumes she wore in 101 Dalmatians, especially since they were created for the character by “Oscar-winning designer Anthony Powell and Rosemary Burrows.”

Whether she ever really wears these outfits, even in the privacy of her home, it is nice to know that the costumes are with the woman who really gave them life. And if she ever does decide to rock one of her Cruella de Vil outfits again, we would not be upset to see it.
