How did the dogs of Instagram spend their 2019 Memorial Day weekend?
2019 Memorial Day weekend has come and gone. It was a time of remembrance, a time of treasuring time spent with family and friends.
Some worked. Some played. Some ran outside and enjoyed pleasant weather. Some battled flood waters.
The most solemn of holidays went well, however the dogs of Instagram chose to spend their weekend.
We aren’t sure where this memorial to military working dogs is located, but it is well worth remembering that there are canine soldiers out there, too, some of whom have perished.
This Dachsund went adventuring through New York City, where the Museum of the Dog had a full slate of activities planned.
This cute little patriotic pup practiced their stick-fetching.
In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Jeffrey Earnhardt and canine security company iK9 honored Officer Jordan Sheldon of the Mooresville Police Department, who was killed in the line of duty several weeks ago. Officer Sheldon’s canine partner, the German Shepherd Roman, was also on the rear quarter panels.
