How did the dogs of Instagram spend their 2019 Memorial Day weekend?

2019 Memorial Day weekend has come and gone. It was a time of remembrance, a time of treasuring time spent with family and friends.

Some worked. Some played. Some ran outside and enjoyed pleasant weather. Some battled flood waters.

The most solemn of holidays went well, however the dogs of Instagram chose to spend their weekend.

We aren’t sure where this memorial to military working dogs is located, but it is well worth remembering that there are canine soldiers out there, too, some of whom have perished.

This Dachsund went adventuring through New York City, where  the Museum of the Dog had a full slate of activities planned.

This cute little patriotic pup practiced their stick-fetching.

In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Jeffrey Earnhardt and canine security company iK9 honored Officer Jordan Sheldon of the Mooresville Police Department, who was killed in the line of duty several weeks ago. Officer Sheldon’s canine partner, the German Shepherd Roman, was also on the rear quarter panels.

Bark-Andre Furry the Jack Russell Terrier, his girlfriend Goldie the Yorkie and their friends Ovie and Saffy Bean the Bulldogs attended the Joy Prom Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Aviators’ Finn the Batdog, a Labrador Retriever, enjoyed his day off, which he spent practicing his diving skills.

With Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night (the Boston Bruins defeated the St Louis Blues 4-2), The Today Show guide dog in training Sunny was hard at work as a special correspondent.

Former First Service Dog Sully remembered the reason for the holiday at the Korean War Memorial in Washington DC, and all those fallen who gave their lives so that others could have freedom.

This Miniature Australian Shepherd took the time to slow down and give all the wildflowers a good sniff in appreciation.

After a long weekend of doing things, Luna the Husky needed some time on the couch to snooze. We can’t really blame her.

Next. Looking back at Rin Tin Tin. dark

We hope you had a good 2019 Memorial Day weekend, everyone.
