It’s time for the 2019 Stanley Cup Final, and the community of hockey dogs is all here for it.

The 2019 Stanley Cup Final is here, ready to decide this year’s champion of the National Hockey League.

Naturally, all members of the community of hockey dogs can’t wait to get started as the St Louis Blues and Boston Bruins face off in the best of seven game series.

Sunny the Today Puppy, a yellow Labrador guide dog from The Today Show, is working as a special Stanley Pup correspondent.

To get to the Final, the Bruins went the full distance in the first round against the Toronto Maple Leafs before triumphing in seven games. They next got past the surging Columbus Blue Jackets in the semifinals in six games before sweeping Moose McCreery‘s Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final.

To get the the Final, the underdog Blues topped the Winnipeg Jets in the first round in six games, then dispatched the Dallas Stars in seven games in the semifinals before toppling the San Jose Sharks after six games in the Western Conference Final.

Game 1 will have St Louis in Boston at the TD Garden on Monday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET, with TV coverage on NBC.

Game 2 will have the Blues at the Bruins on Wednesday, May 29 at 8 p.m. ET, with TV coverage on cable on the NBC Sports Network.

Game 3 will go to Missouri as Boston travels to the Enterprise Center and St Louis on Saturday, June 1 at 8 p.m. ET, with TV coverage again on the NBC Sports Network.

Game 4 will have the Bruins at the Blues on Monday, June 3 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

If necessary, Game 5 will be in Massachusetts as the Blues are at the Bruins on Thursday, June 6 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

If necessary, Game 6 takes place in St Louis on Sunday, June 9 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Finally, if it takes until Game 7 to decide things, that would be in Boston on Wednesday, June 12 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

It seems as though puplic opinion within the hockey dog community on Twitter and Instagram will lean towards the Blues, as team dog Barclay is learning how to be a guide dog in his time with the team.

According to our pregame Instagram poll, however, puplic opinion within the hockey dog community is split as of this writing – Goldie the Yorkie says she’s pulling for the Blues, as they’re from the Western Conference (plus Barclay is handsome), while her boyfriend Bark-Andre Furry wants the Stanley Cup to stick around the Lombardi Trophy for a while in Boston.

Our Twitter version of the poll is leaning slightly towards the Blues.

They recently had a wonderful time, along with their friends, at the Joy Prom Las Vegas on Saturday.
