Scooby-Doo is one of those franchises most never tire of. Regardless of how old you are, the Scooby gang is there in some form especially when it comes to the franchise's different direct-to-video films.
Whether you cut your teeth on classics like Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island or recent favorites like Scooby-Doo! and Camp Scare, there are plenty of different films to look back on. No matter what age you are, you're sure to find one you enjoy or have enjoyed in the past.
The sad thing is that some of the most beloved and funniest Scooby-Doo movies are no longer able to be streamed. This is due to Warner Brothers deciding to shut down Boomerang, thus moving all of the content over to Max. However, Max made sure to remove some of our classic favorites or not even have them streaming on there.
Hopefully, we'll see Max change their tune in the future but right now, it feels like we're getting less and less Scooby-Doo which is a shame. There are so many people who love and enjoy these movies so why not give the people what they want?
We're hoping these 4 Scooby-Doo movies end up on Max soon.
Starting things off is none other than Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. This is one I've talked about frequently but I couldn't do this post without bringing it up again. It's just such an iconic movie and one that I know loads of Scooby fans love as well. Released in 1988 as a made-for-TV movie, it featured Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy as they head to an all-girls school as Shaggy is now the school's gym teacher. However, things aren't what they seem as the girls he's working with are all ghouls. Honestly, Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School is so much fun so it's sad to see it not cutting the cut on Max.
Next up is a classic Scooby-Doo film and that's Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders. This was released in 2000 and felt like such a treat. The story follows the gang as they're encountering aliens but it's mostly about Scooby and Shaggy. These two end up meeting a girl and her dog who seem like the best match for the two yet I'm sure you can guess the plot twist. Honestly, this one is really good and has pretty solid animation to boot so it's sad to see Max leaving it on the shelf.
Moving to a more recent film, this one still baffles me and that's Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost. Released in 2019, this one continues the story from The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo which honestly seems like a good enough reason to put it on there. As we know though, it's not on there and unfortunately, it's frustrating for those who watched the series and just want to know more.
Last but not least, this one feels especially stupid given the circumstances. Either way, this is the most recent Scooby-Doo film and that's 2023's Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too! Unfortunately, this is one I haven't gotten to watch and I wasn't able to before Max pulled it. Given all the hype around the upcoming Superman film and how important Krypto's role is, why wouldn't it be streaming for all of us to watch? Maybe that's just hoping for too much but maybe we'll see it on the platform before Superman hits theaters.
