Freddie Mercury cat gaining Instagram fame for her mustache
A Freddie Mercury cat is gaining lots of Instagram fame for her mustache, which is quite impressive and cute.
And, of course, as everyone knows, cats basically run the internet, which is why the Cats of Instagram are so pawpular, even appearing onscreen in films like The Godfather and the Steve Martin/Selena Gomez TV series Only Murders in the Building.
As reported by the British newspaper the Daily Mail, a California woman named Natalie adopted the Freddie Mercury cat, whose name is Mostaccioli, after she found the black and white kitten with her three litter brothers in August 2020.
The kittens were a day old and their mother was nowhere to be found, so since Natalie worked at a kennel, she rushed them there and nursed them through their kittenhood.
A Freddie Mercury cat is gaining huge Instagram fame due to mustache.
Along with her fur-sister Izinami, Mostaccioli shares an Instagram account that be found at the handle @Izinami.Mostaccioli.
A quick Google search reveals that mostaccioli is a round, tube-like type of pasta similar to penne, which makes sense – Super Mario is one of the world’s most well-known mustached characters, and he’s Italian, and as pasta may have been invented in Italy, it’s a easy association, and once there, Mastaccioli is a very unique name.
Freddie Mercury, of course, was a songwriter known for being the lead singer of the British classic rock band Queen, best known for their songs “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You,” and he was played by Rami Malek (Night at the Museum series, Mr. Robot) in the 2018 film Bohemian Rhapsody.
The film’s cast also included Mike Myers (Saturday Night Live, Shrek) and American Idol season 7 runner-up Adam Lambert in smaller roles.
This Freddie Mercury cat would fit in just right at the 2022 Puppy Bowl halftime show, which usually features a social media cat as headliner.
