On August 29, Major Biden took to social media to share that he was taking a bit of a break to enjoy some noms and Poppet time. And considering how active he and the rest of the Oval Pawffice team have been throughout the month to raise funds and awareness for the Kabul Animal Rescue, it makes sense that he would take at least a short break.

In his post to Instagram, Major Biden explained that he was hitting the nom button and getting his paws on carrots and a Puppuccino! That’s right, even our First Dog is a fan of Puppuccinos (that’s a thing we didn’t know and we are loving by the way).

According to Major, the carrots are good for him and a perfect treat for the White House bunny, Poppet. In fact, as our First Dog pointed out, carrots are a good source of Vitamin A, which is good for his eyes.

Since carrots were apparently part of the Sunday menu for Major Biden, Poppet joined the First Dog for lunch, which is something he said Poppet does anytime this vegetable is served. Of course, this makes perfect sense, even is Poppet is not in fact Bugs Bunny.

Considering Sunday is meant to be a day of rest, it was nice to see Major taking a break and enjoying some down time with Poppet. It was also nice to get a little insight into what exactly Major is enjoying while in the White House, since he rarely shares exactly what treats he is getting.

It didn’t take long for Major to get back to work, as he quickly shared donation news on August 30, but at least we know that there was some down time in his weekend. And yes, we are here for taking a break every now and then.
