Chris Evans shares an update on Dodger after the pup’s surgery

Chris Evans is keeping us updated on how his dog, Dodger, is doing after the pup underwent hip replacement surgery with the help of social media. And it seems that it was not just Dodger who got a little surgery, as even his beloved, stuffed lion also got some TLC.

In a post shared to the actor’s Instagram account on Feb. 19, Evans revealed that Dodger was at home and recuperating following “Hip replacement #2.” He said that he believes that the pup will be back in action in no time at all, which is definitely the kind of news we were hoping for (and I am sure the actor was hoping for as well).

According to Chris Evans, while Dodger was in surgery for his hip, his stuffed lion was also in surgery following a “nasty tear” suffered back in November. It seems that the lion (which we have seen in previous videos and pictures posted by the actor) has been on the injured reserves list for the last few months. However, with Dodger being taken care of by professionals, Evans wanted to make sure that his pup’s stuffed friend also got the help he needed.

As part of the caption for the series of images posted by the actor, he shared that, “I’ve never sewn anything before but I’m pretty proud of my hack job. They’re both happily recovering in each other’s company.”

Not only did the actor share a close up picture of Dodger’s shaved and bandaged hip, but there is also a picture of the torn lion prior to his surgery, as well as a picture of the repaired stuffy. And of course, the best picture of all is the one with Dodger and his lion resting together as they heal up.

Now maybe it is us, but we are a little obsessed with the picture of Dodger and his lion resting up after their respective surgeries. It is that hint of sweetness that perfectly goes along with our relief that the surgery on Dodger’s hip went well.

We are glad that Chris Evans shared not only the news that he sewed up the lion for his pup, but also the update that his pup is recovering well. Now we are just excited to see Dodger up and playing again soon.
