The recent launching pad for a Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe was well-liked by Dog O’Day staff, though the fan reception was mixed was mixed, and a few opportunities for introducing classic characters like Muttley and Scrappy-Doo were missed.
Rhett and Brown team up for the song “On Me,” which also features vocals from pop singer Ava Max, whose YouTube channel the video was uploaded to.
The video features clips from the film interspersed with live shots of the various singers in front of a brightly-lit backdrop.
Thomas Rhett, whose father Rhett Akins was a star in the 1990s (best known for “She Said Yes,” “I Brake for Brunettes” and “That Ain’t My Truck”) who has stayed busy writing hits for others after his singing career ended, has been a mainstay of the country charts since releasing his first album, It Goes Like This, in 2013.
Rhett’s other albums are Tangled Up from 2015, Life Changes from 2017, and Center Point Road in 2019. Some of his well-known songs are “Craving You” (with Maren Morris), “T-Shirt” and “Marry Me.”
He appeared in both of the recent Disney Family Singalong specials with his daughters as they danced to Frozen hits.
Kane Brown follows in the footsteps of Darius Rucker and, far before either of them, Charley Pride in the 1960s, as one of the rare black artists in country music. He has released two albums, Kane Brown in 2016 and Experiment in 2018.
He rose to prominence around the same time as Rhett by posting cover videos on YouTube, and sang in a high school choir with American Idol season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina.
The Scoob soundtrack also includes “Summer Feelings” by pop singer Lennon Stella, who also rose to stardom through YouTube videos, playing Connie Britton’s daughter Maddie James on the country-set ABC/CMT drama series Nashville.
