British Poodle siblings reunited during walk
A pair of Poodle siblings in England were reunited during a recent walk.
In this week’s viral story from the world of Dog Twitter, a pair of miniature Poodle siblings in England were reunited by accident during a recent walk.
This news was picked up a lot of outlets, though we here at Dog O’Day heard about it from People Magazine.
On Tuesday, May 19, Libby Pincher, a woman from Bishop Auckland, England, shared the heartwarming story on Twitter that her dad texted her as part of a family group chat.
Their friend Dave was out for a walk with his dog, and they ran into another human walking another miniature Poodle.
Instead of stopping at the usual butt-sniffing that dogs do when they meet each other, these dogs hugged each other. Turns out they’re siblings from the same litter, which is amazing.
“Please look at what my dad sent me this morning,” Pincher wrote in her Twitter post, which has since been retweeted over 185,000 times and liked more than 934,000 times. “I cannot even.”
This is just too sweet, and given the state of the world right now, smiles are more necessary and harder to find than ever. If British author Dodie Smith (The Hundred and One Dalmatians) were alive, she could have done great things with this scene, as could Eleanor Estes (Ginger Pye).
We’re very glad Libby shared this post with the world, and recommend that you hug another human in your household if possible. (Dogs don’t really appreciate hugs, and in any case it is discouraged right now because of COVID-19.)
If you live in a place where you can walk your dog safely, then it might be a nice thing to do this weekend, though it’s highly unlikely that such an adorable occurrence will take place. A Pink Papyrus leash would be a great choice, if you’re in the market for a new one.
While Dog O’Day is primarily an American-focused website, we do occasionally cover canine content from elsewhere in the world, because dogs are dogs everywhere, and they’re all amazing. We would love to add new contributors to our team, if you’d be willing to volunteer to help us cover canine sports, entertainment and lifestyle.
While the site isn’t at a point right now where contributors can be paid for their efforts, we hope to reach that point soon, and people from anywhere internationally may apply.
