How did celebrities celebrate National Dog Day?
While a handful of actors and actresses celebrated their pups past and present over the weekend leading up to National Dog Day, the majority of posts came on the day itself.
This is to be expected, as normal people, businesses, organizations and sports teams all jumped into the holiday spirit with all four paws.
Kimberly Williams-Paisley, best known for her role of Annie Banks-McKenzie in the Father of the Bride movies and playing the main role of Jim’s sister Dana on the sitcom According to Jim, often posts about the family doggos Hoot and Annie on her Instagram.
She’s married to country singer Brad Paisley, they met while filming the music video “I’m Gonna Miss Her“, which he details in his memoir Diary of a Player.
Zachary Levi, who recently starred in the DC Extended Universe’s Shazam, and his dog Blue wished everyone a happy National Dog Day full of outside adventures.
Levi starred in the title role in the spy action comedy/drama Chuck, which also starred Yvonne Strahovski of The Handmaid’s Tale and Adam Baldwin of Firefly.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers fullback John Rush and his Great Pyrenees Bone were all smiles for the day, and for the season itself, as Winnipeg is leading the CFL‘s West Division with an 8-2 record halfway through the regular season.
NASCAR team Stewart-Haas Racing, which Chase Briscoe drives for, went all-out in honoring team owner Tony Stewart’s two dogs.
The San Jose Sharks wished their assistance dog in training, Finn the Labrador, a pawtastic day, which he seemed pretty thrilled about.
While Vegas Golden Knights Jack Russell Terrier superfan Bark-Andre Furry was also ecstatic about National Dog Day, his little brother Deke didn’t really see what all the fuss was about, since it interrupted important things like digging holes in the yard.
Finally, Bark’s YouTuber friend Logan, The Girl with the Hat, made sure to wish her Yorkie Goldie well, and Goldie made sure to dress up with a red bandanna and yellow bow to match the Knights colors.
