Tubi is truly one of the most underrated streaming services out there. The platform has been giving us so many great shows and movies to revisit. It's especially great if you're a fan of cartoon cats and dogs.
While Scooby has been the focus of Tubi lately, we don't have any Scooby-Doo content coming in June. It's sad, but it might be the kick in the pants Max needs to be better. However, Tubi is giving us something even cooler.
According to a post shared by Tubi, we're going to be getting a big addition from the Shrek franchise. You might have guessed it by the photo, but Tubi is adding the 2011 film, Puss in Boots, which is the start of its own franchise.
Sadly, the first film hasn't gotten nearly as much love as it should. With that being said, it's nice to see Tubi bringing it back in June. Honestly, we would have gotten Puss in Boots: The Last Wish without the film which is something people tend to forget. Given how beloved that film is, Puss in Boots deserves its flowers.
Tubi adds a classic film from a fan-favorite Shrek character.
For those who haven't watched the 2011 flick, Puss in Boots is an origin story for the character, and sometimes, that's exactly what you need. The other great thing is that I was planning on watching and reviewing this film, but it wasn't streaming anywhere until now. Tubi couldn't have picked a better time than now to add it.
As far as other kids' films being added to Tubi, Puss in Boots is the only one connected to either a cat or a dog. Sometimes, that's just how the cookie crumbles. However, it's awesome to see Puss in Boots getting his day on Tubi.
If you're wanting something not for the kiddos, then you'll be happy to know that Tubi is adding Stephen King's Cat Eye film. This was released in 1985 and features a traveling cat throughout all of the stories. It's an anthology horror that isn't for everyone. Drew Barrymore stars in the film along with James Woods and Alan King. While it might not be the feel-good flick like Puss in Boots, it was worth a mention.
Regardless of what you're wanting to watch in June, Tubi has tons of flicks and shows to choose from, and it's all free. You truly can't get anything for free these days, so if you have a chance, why not check out Tubi's offerings?
