There is something about NFL players and being pet parents. When looking at most NFL teams, you'll see players posting about their dogs, having pages for their dogs, or mentioning them in an interview which is where this tidbit came from.
When being interviewed recrecently, Jason Kelce talked about his brother Travis and shared a nugget of info that has fans in a frenzy. The interview was broken down by Parade which we're sharing here: "I came back maybe 6 months after that, and I come back and one of the couches is like pushed up against the wall,” Jason explained. “I’m like why'd you move the couch? "And he goes and he pulls the couch back, he had just got a puppy—the puppy had chewed a hole in the back of it," the former Philadelphia Eagles player laughed." As you can see, the cat or should we say, the puppy is out of the bag.
Jason shared that a puppy destroyed his brother's beloved couches and honestly, that's not surprising in the slightest. Then again, maybe Travis didn't intend to adopt a puppy but it ended up happening. The thing that is sending fans into a flurry about is Taylor Swift and her cats which we all know. Swift has been a long-time cat lover and it's unclear if her cats have been around dogs before or not.
While it's unlike Travis or Jason will speak on this, it might end up being a topic of conversation for their New Heights podcast. Frankly, those two cover so many topics during each episode that it's tough to keep up. However, the puppy thing might end up being something the two discuss in the near future.
Is Travis Kelce a new dog dad? It's possible.
Let's just be real here. Whether Travis Kelce adopted a dog or not, it's unlikely we'll know anything about the dog unless it's confirmed by Jason or Travis. For the most part, Travis doesn't tend to post much unless it's related to football or the podcast. This shouldn't come as a surprise though as his Instagram is fairly well-curated.
Ultimately though, this whole puppy debate with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift seems like a great way to bring the two back into the conversation. However, it doesn't seem like something that would be a dealbreaker for either of them. If Travis does have a new puppy, no doubt it's something he cleared with Taylor or at least, added her input on. It doesn't make much sense for him to get a dog and not talk to his partner about it.
Of course, there's no way Jason Kelce imagined that comment was going to blow up the way it did but that's just the way the internet tends to react to things. Well, most fans love Travis and Taylor together, this whole puppy thing feels like a lot of hubbub for something so trivial. Either way, hopefully, we'll see a cute puppy picture if he did recently adopt a dog. If not, then this rumor will just be another thing to end up in the doghouse.
