Marvel and Disney are two powerhouse companies, so seeing them come together was a mega move. While we've seen some collaborations in the past, we've never seen anything like this new comic release.
Marvel is releasing some new Marvel Comics one-shot, which takes the beloved Marvel heroes we know and adds in Mickey and friends. While we're here to talk about Goofy, there is one release coming before that, which is Marvel & Disney: What If...? Donald Duck Became Iron Man. This comic does have some nods to DuckTales, making it a fun one for readers of all ages.
Moving on from Donald, we're here to talk about our friend Goofy. In July, Goofy is getting his very own turn as a Marvel superhero. The title for this is Marvel & Disney: What If...? Goofy Became Spider-Man. This oneshot is releasing on July 30, making it the perfect one to read if you're on the beach or want to get even more Marvel after watching the new Fantastic Four film.
There are even more Marvel x Disney comic releases planned out for the rest of 2025, so you'll have to be on the lookout to see some of the other Disney characters embodying some of Marvel's best. If anything, it might be the push you need to get back into reading.
This Marvel x Disney crossover is incredibly fun.
Marvel shared a short description on its website, which we're including here: "Goofy becomes the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN in this tale that’s sure to make you say "GAWRSH!" Goofy Parker must learn the ultimate lesson of responsibility to save his beloved Uncle Ben. And wait’ll you see what he does to those Beagle Boys! Ah-hyuck!" Once again, the Beagle Boys are making their return, and seeing them appear in two of these comics is such a fun twist.
Additionally, this special release has multiple different covers you can grab. This title was written by Riccardo Secchi and Steve Behling. The comic's art and cover were done by Francesco D'Ippolito, but there are 4 other variant covers you can get. The artists of the variant covers are Phil Noto, Ron Lim, and Skottie Young.
No matter if you're grabbing all of the different covers or just want to see Goofy swinging from buildings, this upcoming Marvel & Disney: What If...? release feels like something fun and fresh. It sounds like it's going to be a fun read, no matter what.
