This cat just hilariously became their owner’s ‘fluffy security system’

By nature, we all know that our pets that we bring into our homes can get very territorial, and rightfully so. Recently, that was exactly the case for this one cat owner who came to realize that she had more than just a pet cat, she also had a very adorable ‘fluffy security system’.

Watch this cat protect his house – it’s not only funny, but super adorable too!

Meet Toast.

Toast is a young cat who not only loves his owner, but also his home. When cats consider a certain place to be their home, they will tend to get aggressive at any signs of an intruder or unwelcome guest. Some cats and other pets may mark their territories by leaving their scent, but when it comes to Mr. Toast over here, he didn’t leave his scent to protect his home.

While Toast’s owner was at work, a motion-sensitive pet camera caught something super hilarious. The landlord of the building was trying to get in, but Toast said “Nope, not today!” Through a series of scratches and pushing the door closed, Toast was able to warn off the landlord, and although the clip is pretty short, it does seem like it worked. Whether or not the landlord eventually got let in remains under question.

When it comes to your cat becoming territorial, The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) suggests that the best way to help combat that is to spay or neuter your furry little friends!

The owner of Toast said that there was some work being done on their apartment with the pipes, and they were only trying to get in the apartment that way the pipes wouldn’t burst when they got back home. They warned them that next time, they’ll need a 24-hour notice before they go in unannounced. No hard feelings, though, because the landlord said that the little furry security system did a job well done protecting their home!
