In a recent study, Printed Pet Memories revealed that pet parents in Massachusetts and really all of New England are at the top of the list for spoiling their pets. And they figured this out based on what people were Googling online, as well as how many searches they were doing per month.
In terms of the result of this study, it was interesting to see Massachusetts in the top 10 for states where pet owners are really looking to spoil their dogs, cats, and more. But what exactly were they searching for?
What do pet parents in Massachusetts Google when it comes to spoiling their pup? Luckily we have the answer as Printed Pet Memories has put together a top 10 list of the most searched for pet products that pet parents are searching for in the state. (Now this doesn’t mean they are always buying these items, but we love knowing that pet parents are on the lookout for these items either way.)
10 pet products Massachusetts pet parents are searching for when it comes to spoiling their pets
Here is what pet parents in Massachusetts are looking for when they are trying to spoil their pets:
- Dog Toys (Unsurprisingly, at least to us, dog toys are at the top of the list with a search volume of 1650.00 searches per 100,000 people every month)
- Cat Toys (It is also unsurprising to find cat toys in the second spot with a search volume of 1366.7)
- Cat Scratcher
- Dog Treats
- Cat Scratch Post (This was interesting as it seems pet parents do differentiate between the types of cat scratching items they are searching for, with posts getting an impressive 906.7 in terms of search volume every month.)
- Dog Birthday Cake
- Cake for Dog
- Raincoat for Dog
- Homemade Dog Treats
- Best Cat Toy (With a search volume of 577.5 it makes sense that cat owners would not just be searching for a cat toy, they want the best cat toys!)
Honestly, none of these searches are very surprising. However, it is surprising to see what the top searches in Massachusetts are. It is also surprising to see how much these individual terms are being searched for. All of that to say, we are not in any way surprised by the things that pet parents are looking for in order to spoil their pets.
