Over the years, we have looked for unique, delicious, and pet-friendly treats to spoil our pets with. And while we know that there are currently ice creams on the market for our dogs which they love, in Philadelphia they are actually opening up an ice cream shop for them too.

According to Axios, a new shop called Salty Paws is opening in the Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. Salty Paws calls itself “the city’s first ice cream shop for dogs.” And honestly, we would absolutely believe it!

I know we have never seen or even heard of an ice cream shop specifically for dogs (in the Philly area at least). But now with Salty Paws, we have that and we are here for it. (There are actually multiple Salty Paws locations, including shops in Annapolis and Pittsburg.)

Salty Paws is an ice cream shop for dogs and even cats

According to the shop, pet owners can expect to find “Lactose-free and goat milk ice cream, with flavors ranging from cookie crumble to liver crunch, complete with a full toppings bar.” Not only can our pups enjoy their frozen treat in the shop, but they can also get a cup to go as well.

And yes, these ice creams are both dog and cat friendly.

Of course, they won’t just sell ice cream, as there are other pet products that will help enrich the experience for our fuzzy friends. Other things that Salty Paws will have available for sale include toys, collars, bones, baked goods, and other dog treats.

Basically, they will have something for every pup, but their main attraction will definitely be the doggy (and kitty) friendly ice creams.

But what do you think fellow dog lovers? Are you excited for a new ice cream shop for our dogs to visit? Have you been to a Salty Paws location? Will you be checking out the Philadelphia location? We want to know.
