For many of us, traveling with our pets can be a challenge, as we struggle to find pet friendly spots to stay. But Hilton wants to change all of that.
According to People Magazine, on January 21, Hilton made an announcement about their Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites that should be pretty exciting for pet owners looking to travel with their pets. Going forward, both of these extended stay properties are now 100 percent pet friendly!
This new pet friendly initiative was done in partnership with Mars Petcare. And insight from Mars Petcare led to an entirely new incentive type program for pet owners bringing their furry friends with them when they stay at either of these Hilton properties.
Both Hilton Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites are now 100% pet friendly
So what do we know about staying at either of these Hilton brands in the United States and Canada?
- There is a $50 pet fee per stay. (This is a one time fee that will be paid every time you book a stay with your pet.)
- You will have over 1000 locations to choose from when it comes to booking a pet friendly stay.
- Pets will have their own amenities available to make their stay more comfortable too. These amenities include treats from the front desk, their very own green spaces to stretch their legs, and finally free waste bags to clean up after your pup.
- Access to experts from Mars Petcare who can help with everything from finding other pet friendly places to visit (or dine at) to helping you pack for your pet’s comfort.
And while Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites are the first Hilton properties to become 100 percent pet friendly, it sounds like they will not be the last. This is because in the company’s recent press release, they revealed that,
"all Embassy Suites by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton by Hilton, and Tru by Hilton properties in the U.S. and Canada will also become completely pet-friendly by April of this year."
Basically, 2022 is set to be a great year for pet owners looking to travel with their furry friends. And we are here for that news.
What do you think fellow dog lovers? Are we excited for this news? Does this make you more likely to stay at Hilton properties in the future when you travel? Will you be booking a stay at Homewood Suites or Home2 Suites now that you can bring your dog with you? We really want to know.
