We finally have some exciting news about a new furry sibling for Major Biden! And the news comes straight from The Oval Pawffice Instagram account.
On December 20, Major Biden took to social media to share some exciting news revolving around a future furry sibling! While we have spent most of 2021 waiting for the Bidens to bring home a feline sibling for Major, as we end the year, we haven’t seen a kitty enter the White House. (Which also means that Winston Biden is still First Cat!)
But in the new post, it’s not a feline joining Major at the White House – it’s a new puppy! And not just any puppy, Major’s new sibling is also a German Shepherd!
It’s the ultimate Christmas present for Major Biden, who has definitely had a ruff year, including the loss of his older brother, Champ.
Major Biden reveals breaking news that the Biden family has adopted a new German Shepherd puppy!
According to the post from The Oval Pawffice,
"Barking news: I have a new baby sibling, he’s a German Shepherd just like me. His name is #Commander, he’s a puppy and I am pawsitively thrilled to welcome him to the family. This is the best Christmas gift ever, my wish came true. #NewDOTUS!"
That’s right! Major’s new brother is named Commander.
And maybe it’s me, but I am obsessed with this name choice. Major and Commander seem like the perfect duo and we can’t wait to see these two together.
In fact, we can’t wait to see how the addition of another pup to The White House shakes things up for The Oval Pawffice and Major. Plus, we need all the puppy pictures we can get.
But are you as excited as we are for the arrival of a new First Dog (or in this case a new First Puppy)? What do you think of the fact that Major is getting a new furry sibling? Let us know!
