Major Biden has taken to Instagram to share a heartfelt message as winter approaches about the fact that this will be his first without his brother.

Champ Biden passed away in June of this year at the age of 13, leaving a void on The Oval Pawffice social media accounts that has been hard to fill. And while we have enjoyed following Major’s journey as a First Dog of the White House, it has still been sad to not have both pups sharing the love and raising money for animal related charities.

And now, as winter draws near, Major Biden has taken to Instagram to share a beautiful post featuring a photo of himself and Champ enjoying snowfall earlier this year. The picture gives us pawprints in the snow, Champ watching Major running around, and the Washington Monument in the foreground.

The picture alone speaks so many words and yet, it is accompanied by a beautiful post that reminds us that this will also be the first Christmas since Champ died.

Major Biden reminds us all that this will be his first winter without Champ at his side

In the caption of his post Major shared,

"This is my first winter without my brother Champ, I’m so furry thankful I have Poppet, Charlie and Winston! I will not let myself get sad though, Champy would be truly pupset if he knew I’m not enjoying the pawlidays to the maximum."

We are glad that Major Biden still has other furry friends to help him through this difficult time. And of course, we can only hope that Major is able to enjoy the winter, even without his brother there to help him through.

It will be a sad Christmas without Champ at his side, but at least he has Charlie, Winston, and Poppet to support him.
