Stella & Chewy’s are doing their part to help senior pets find homes during National Adopt a Senior Pet Month

In honor of National Adopt a Senior Pet Month, which falls in November, Stella & Chewy’s are doing their part to help senior shelter dogs find homes. From partnering with Pilots to the Rescue to help fly senior shelter pets to areas where they are more likely to be adopted to reimbursing the fees on adoptions of pets over the age of 5, Stella & Chewy’s is making sure senior pets are given more than a fighting chance this November.

Pilots to the Rescue is doing their part by flying these senior pets from areas where they are less likely to find a home, across the country to more urban areas where they have a better chance of finding their new families. But it doesn’t stop there, because Stella & Chewy’s is making sure that they take things to the next level in their efforts to find these animals a good home.

Across the United States and Canada, they will be reimbursing the fees for adopting cats and dogs who are over the age of 5. It is as easy as heading to the shelter, finding your new senior furever friend, and then submitting the adoption details to Stella & Chewy’s. Considering the company’s mission has long been about helping animals find their forever homes, while also raising awareness about adoption and making sure animals have the meals they need while in the shelters and rescues, it makes sense that they would go big for National Adopt a Senior Pet Month.
