Dog Treats: This Eggs Florentine recipe is dog friendly and poppable
When it comes to spoiling our pups, dog treats are always at the top of our list. And when we can make them ourselves, it just feels better. In fact, this recipe for Eggs Florentine is not only quick and easy to make, but it is perfectly poppable for us too.
With this recipe from Bring Fido, we are getting a treat that is just as much people friendly as it is dog friendly. And after whipping up a batch of 24 of these dog friendly Eggs Florentine muffins, I admit that this might just be our new favorite treat for our pups, especially if we are looking to include them in our Sunday Brunching.
Considering there are only four ingredients needed to bring this to life, we think these dog treats might just become a staple in more than just our home. And since we have already determined that eggs are safe for our dogs to enjoy in moderation, we are all about whipping up this take on an Eggs Furentine Muffin!
Easy recipe for Eggs “Furentine” Muffin Dog Treats
What you need:
- A dozen eggs or a 16 ounce container of egg substitute (Egg Beaters for example)
- 1 cup of fresh spinach chopped
- 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese shredded
- A dash of paprika
What to do:
Start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees. Using a mini muffin pan, spray the tin with cooking spray. Pour eggs (if using a regular dozen eggs, make sure you whip them up like you would scrambled eggs) into each muffin tin evenly. Add the spinach and cheese to each muffin cup and press it down into the eggs with a fork. Bake your egg cups for 10 to 13 minutes until the top of each egg cup is browned. Sprinkle a little paprika on the top.
Basically, this is a super easy egg mini muffin cup. It is quick and easy and just as tasty for humans as it is our dogs. The fact that this is almost more of a brunch dish than dog treats makes it perfect for a Sunday afternoon bake. And since these can be refrigerated for up to two weeks, you can give your pup a treat or two every day for a week without having to worry about whipping up something else fresh and delicious.
