On June 8, Justin Theroux took to Instagram to pay tribute to a very special day in his and Kuma’s life – Kuma’s Gotcha Day! While it has already been three years since the actor adopted the Pitbull from a rescue in Texas, for those of us who have followed the duo’s journey it doesn’t feel like it has been that long (or even that short a period of time).

Not only did we get to see some amazing pictures of the adventures and love that Theroux and Kuma share, it was the post itself that has us all in our feels. After all, when you have a post that really delves into what a pup has done for your life, it is bound to be emotional.

Considering Kuma and Justin Theroux have even done a movie together, and of course the actor has no problem sharing videos and pictures of his pup on social media, it makes sense that we are all about the relationship between these two. So on this Gotcha Day for Kuma, we are here for this post celebrating the impact that the Pitbull has had on Theroux.

Justin Theroux celebrates Kuma’s Gotcha Day with a heartfelt post on Instagram

In the post on Instagram, the actor shared,

"I know you can’t read Kuma, but thank you for being so open, making me laugh, sleeping in later than me, going everywhere by my side, reminding me to stay in the present, to let things roll off me, to have gratitude and joy for everything, even just waking up. Reminding me to be playful. For showing patience. For not judging anyone, (except skateboards that you judge harshly). For showing kindness first, to literally everyone you meet."

Of course, there was more to the post, including a thank you to the people who helped Justin Theroux to adopt Kuma and who took care of the pup before the actor was able to bring Kuma home. Basically, this was as much a celebration of Kuma’s Gotcha Day, as it was a reminder to #AdoptDontShop and that there are a lot of people who help save so many dogs and other animals.

Considering we have been following the adventures of Kuma and Theroux for a while now, we love this post. It is emotional and sweet, and a perfect reminder about how many animals are still waiting for their forever homes.
