Justin Theroux shares exciting adoption news for one pup who survived Hurricane Harvey
On Instagram, Justin Theroux had some exciting adoption news to share regarding a pup who survived Hurricane Harvey and two years waiting for a home.
There are plenty of celebrities who have shown their appreciation for animals over the years. But when it comes to actors who seem to get joy out of helping dogs find their forever homes, Justin Theroux seems to be in a class all of his own.
On Oct. 9, Theroux took to Instagram to share his excitement over the news of a pup named Spot being adopted. And while there are a lot of dogs being adopted and rescued, Spot has a special place in many of our hearts.
As Justin Theroux pointed out in his post, Spot is actually a survivor of Hurricane Harvey. The pup has spent the last two years living in Austin waiting for someone to adopt him.
Part of what makes Spot so special is the adorable smile that is a permanent expression on his face. As the actor himself calls it, it’s a “big harlequin smile.”
Theroux actually wanted to thank the people who chose to adopt Spot, offering up pictures of himself with the pup, as well as some other pictures. In the post he says, “I am so proud of the people who gave him so much love for those two years… and so happy for Nick and Crysta. Thank you for believing in his big harlequin smile and HUGE heart. It’s so nice thinking of him sleeping cozy in a real home with you tonight.”
From there, Justin Theroux shared Spot’s Instagram account with his followers, telling them they should give the pup a follow in order to find out more about his story and his upcoming adventures with his new family. And since we all know that the actor is a dog lover, it probably comes as no surprise that he finished up his message by saying he was going off to have a bit of a cry.
We love adoption stories, especially when they involve a pup who has been waiting years to find a forever home. And when that story comes from one of our favorite celebrities, we can’t help but love it even more.
We definitely appreciate the fact that Justin Theroux shared this story with the world. And hopefully more pups like Spot find their forever homes soon.
