On Instagram, Justin Theroux shared a goodbye tribute in both pictures and words to his pup Dolly, who he shared with Jennifer Aniston.

On July 28, Justin Theroux took to Instagram to share an emotional goodbye to the dog that he shared with Jennifer Aniston, Dolly. In the tribute, the actor called the pup, “our most loyal family member and protector.”

While Aniston and Theroux may have gone their separate ways in February 2018, they still shared their beloved dog and while the actor did not mention his ex-wife in the post, there has been plenty of speculation that the hand seen in one of the photos posted was indeed that of the actress. According to People Magazine, Dolly was a long time member of the family, and even took part in the former couple’s wedding in 2015.

With this Instagram post truly being all about honoring Dolly and her life, it makes sense that Justin Theroux would stick to talking about the German Shepherd only. In his tribute the actor made it clear that the pup was not alone at the end by saying, “She was surrounded by her entire family.” He even included a quote by George Vest about the faithfulness of dogs and how even in death they remain true to those they love.

In the comments section everyone from friends to fans offered their condolences on the loss of Dolly. And it was clear that while Theroux and Aniston may have separated, their love of their dogs transcends any other issues they may have.

Considering how much both Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston love their dogs, it makes sense that this loss would be hard for them. As dog lovers, we hate losing our furry friends, even as we are happy for the time we get to spend with them.

Although Theroux may be saying goodbye to Dolly, there is some comfort in knowing that he still has his pup, Kuma, at his side. After all, the two recently went into business together, and hopefully this means they are together at this time.
