Busch Dog Brew was introduced last summer, and it’s pretty doggone pawesome, in our opinion.

To promote their latest campaign looking for a Chief Tasting Officer, NASCAR Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick will be piloting a Busch Dog Brew scheme on the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Mustang in the GEICO 500 this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.

The GEICO 500 will air on Fox at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 25.

The car for “Talla-Dog-A” will be primarily tan, with a wolf running through the mountains on the side and a can of Busch Dog Brew, with highlights in tan and a reddish color.

Kevin Harvick also drove a car with the same Busch Dog Brew scheme in the Pro Invitational Series virtual iRacing event on Wednesday night, competing against most of his fellow real-life competitors and his 8-year-old son Keelan.  Also, Alex Bowman, who won the Richmond race last weekend, re-used his real-life Ally/Best Friends Animal Society scheme from Phoenix in that event, in honor of Ally’s fundraising efforts to animal shelters throughout the country.

The Busch Guy is currently interviewing various applicants for the CTO position, which will include pet insurance, an actual salary and product.

Harvick has driven a variety of special Busch schemes at Talladega over the years, including a plaid-themed car in 2018.

One of Harvick’s teammates at SHR is rookie Chase Briscoe at the No. 14, who is a devoted dog dad to blood-sibling Boston Terriers Ricky and Callie. Briscoe has previously been sponsored by Nutri Chomps dog treats, and featured team owner Tony Stewart’s dogs once. (Briscoe has said that SHR has a very dog-friendly culture, with pups often appearing at the shop.)

Talladega is the biggest oval track on the NASCAR schedule at 2.66 miles in length, where the all-time stock car top speed was recorded in the late 1980s as Bill Elliott qualified at 212 miles per hour.

After making his national series debut in the Truck Series inaugural season in 1995, Kevin Harvick was promoted to the Cup Series in 2001 following Dale Earnhardt’s death in the Daytona 500, and won the championship in 2014. He has had Busch backing since 2015, and sister brand Budweiser before that since 2011.

A quarter of the way through the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season, Harvick has two top fives and six top 10s, with 17 laps led. Both Harvick and the No. 4 SHR team are currently in eighth in the drivers and owners standings, respectively, through nine races.

For his Cup career, Harvick has 58 race wins, 38 stage wins, 31 poles, 228 top fives, 395 top 10s, and  15,582 laps led in 727 starts, along with Xfinity Series championships in 2001 and 2006 (he also has 47 Xfinity wins and 14 Trucks wins).
