First Dogs, Champ and Major Biden, release a statement about recent allegations against them
It’s been an interesting few months for Champ and Major Biden, the new First Dogs of the White House. And now, the dynamic duo are speaking up (again).
In what is basically an official statement on The Oval Pawffice Instagram account ,the First Dogs shared their thoughts on recent allegations of biting and pooping at the White House. The Paws Release from Champ and Major is an open letter of sorts in which they not only declare their innocence, but also make it clear that they are going to be looking for the official source of all the doggy news coming from the White House.
According to the caption for the release on Instagram, “We won’t stand idly by while our impeccable repawtation is under pawttack.” In fact, it seems that our First Dogs are going to be sniffing out the source of the leak in terms of who has been spilling the beans about what Major and Champ have been up to lately.
From the latest nipping news to #DooDooGate (we would have gone with #PoopGate, but we will stick with the First Dogs choice of gates) allegations, it is clear that there is a furry spy in the White House.
The First Dogs have released their own statement after recent allegations against them
While I have guessed that there is a feline spying on the First Dogs and sharing their secrets, the fact that there is a First Cat (Winston is so often forgotten in the midst of our coverage of Champ and Major Biden) means it is less likely to be a spy kitty spilling the tea.
Perhaps the real culprit of the White House leaks is the squirrels that Major has been chasing on the White House lawns. After all, he did release a statement to them to let them know he was coming for them. Maybe this is how they are taking their revenge.
In all seriousness, while we know that having a dog nip a person is not a good thing, we also know that there are usually extenuating circumstances, especially when a pup is well-trained like Major and Champ Biden are. And considering all of the changes in their lives and all the new people around them, it makes sense that Major would be a bit more protective of his family and anyone he feels like he may be guarding (the people walking him for instance).
And with the whole poop in the White House news, that is more dogs being dogs than anything else. After all, accidents happen and even the best trained and well-behaved pup can have an accident in the house.
Hopefully things settle down for Champ and Major as we are definitely fans of our First Dogs. We want to go back to focusing on their charitable work and the fun posts about chasing squirrels.
