If you have watched the newest Scooby-Doo movie, Scoob!, then you know that we got another crime fighting pup in our midst. But who is Dynomutt?
As fans of Scooby-Doo and his friends, there is a lot to love about the new Scoob! movie. And while it may not be for everyone, there is one character in the film that we are a bit obsessed with (who is not Scooby of course). So, which character are we talking about? It’s Dynomutt!
In the movie, Dynomutt is a bit sassy, even as he does his very best to help Blue Falcon and the rest of the Scooby-Doo gang handle the problem that is Dick Dastardly. But this is not the first time we have seen this pup on our screens. In fact, Dynomutt and Blue Falcon have had their own series and have partnered up with the Scooby team in the past.
As part of the Hanna-Barbera family, all of these characters have come together on various cartoons, including Scooby’s All-Star Laff-A-Lympics and Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon, among others. And yet, for some people, Scoob! is the first time they are meeting Dynomutt.
If the new movie is your first time meeting this heroic pup, then we need to introduce you to this amazing pup.

Originally introduced in 1976, Dynomutt is also known as Dog Wonder, and has been Blue Falcon’s sidekick for years. While some dogs are great as sidekicks to their owners, this pup is a bit of a mess. In fact, Dynomutt is actually a robotic pup with a wide range of gadgets and uncanny ability to make mistakes along the way. From lapses in judgment to body parts that don’t seem to want to cooperate, this is one pup who is not always the best at solving crimes and saving the day.
However, with Blue Falcon at his side, Dynomutt is always able to help stop the bad guys. And in Scoob!, it seems that this crime fighting pup has gotten a bit of an upgrade in terms of his ability to think things through. In fact, one might even say that this pup is the voice of reason with Blue Falcon.
As far are good pups go, it doesn’t matter what happens, both Scooby-Doo and Dynomutt are very good boys, and we are here for all of their misadventures. And we can only hope we get to see them working together again in the future, after all, we can never have enough doggy heroes.
Did you know who Dynomutt was before the Scoob! movie premiered? Did you ever watch cartoons featuring this pup? Do you want to see more of this pup in movies and maybe even a TV show? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
