The 2023 Fandom of the Year List is out and full of amazing people and fixtures from pop culture this year aside from Bluey.

When looking back at some of the popular TV shows of the year, no one can deny the impact of Bluey. That’s why when I saw the list, I knew I had to share my thoughts on Bluey getting snubbed.

While the list mostly focuses on more “adult” fixtures in pop culture, the animated series truly runs the gambit. Originally released in Australia, the series has become a favorite among kids, their parents, and even, adults who enjoy the Heeler family.

Whether you’re a parent or not, there is no denying that you couldn’t turn around this year and not see Bluey somewhere.

Bluey deserved a spot on the 2023 Fandom of the Year List

While there were some great TV shows on the list, seeing Bluey left off the list felt like such a snub that I had to come on here and share my thoughts. As mentioned, the show ended up being a favorite for people of all ages. Even if you aren’t a dog lover, you can still enjoy the series and the messages it shares within its short run-time.

There are SO many great episodes and more to get caught up on as it’s become a favorite on Disney+. Not only that but Bluey ended up being part of the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, got its own video game, lots of toys and even drummed up some conversation. All in all, the series has truly been in the zeitgeist this year.

Hopefully, we’ll see the series makes its mark in 2024 but for now, it’s sad to see the series not make the cut this year. Either way, there’s still a whole entire year left before we get 2024’s list so plenty of time for the series to prove its popularity.
