Gus Kenworthy’s pup is unimpressed with his guitar skills

Gus Kenworthy might have Olympic medals, but as a dog parent, he is learning to live with some disappointment. But it’s more his pup’s disappointment really.

If there is one thing we can count on from Gus Kenworthy’s dog, Birdie, it is the shade. From being sarcastic on social media to making faces at the athlete, it is clear that this is one pup who is not easily impressed.

In a video posted by Kenworthy on April 28 to his Instagram account, he revealed that he has been practicing the acoustic guitar over the last few months. And while that is exciting for the athlete, Birdie is not as easily swayed. In fact, as LGBTQ Nation points out, it is clear that this is one unimpressed pup.

The video in question shows Gus Kenworthy practicing his guitar with Birdie laying next to him. And clearly this pup would much rather be napping than listening to dad doing whatever it is that’s happening with that guitar. But of course, one can’t nap when there is an impromptu guitar serenade happening next to you.

While we are rather impressed with Kenworthy’s skills, both vocally and with the guitar, Birdie is over it all. Even the expression on the pup’s face in the still of the video is throwing shade, and honestly we are here for this hilarity.

Considering Birdie has no problem throwing shade on Instagram, it makes sense that even in a video like this the pup isn’t going to be thrilled by anything dad does. And what makes this even better is the fact that clearly Gus Kenworthy knows Birdie is not impressed with his skills.
