Instagram is the go to social media platform for dog lovers of all kinds. And that includes celebrity dog lovers who gift us with their furry friends too.

We all know that if we hit up Instagram and search for dogs we are going to find some of the cutest pictures and accounts around. But sometimes we find adorable pup posts on accounts we may not have expected them from. And while we know that there are plenty of celebrity accounts on Instagram to follow for sneak peeks into their lives and work, what we want to see has more to do with their canine companions.

Celebrities with animals can cheer us up, make us smile, and of course act as a reminder that they really are just like us. And of course this means that we love when we see some of our favorite celebs posting pictures with their dogs, their family’s dogs, or even just pups that they get the chance to play and interact with.

From the expected to the unexpected, here are some of our favorite celebrity dog lovers on Instagram. And while their entire feed may not be them with pups, there are certainly enough to justify giving them a follow (if you aren’t already).

Gus Kenworthy has proven his love of dogs repeatedly, and his pup Birdie is even Insta-famous with her own Instagram account. And while he hasn’t posted any pics with Birdie or any other dogs since the middle of December, we bet he will pick up the pace again soon. This Olympian deserves a follow for plenty of reasons, but his love of dogs makes him the top celebrity in this round-up (and don’t forget to follow Birdie because she is one sassy pup).

Taylor Lautner may have been a wolf in the Twilight series, but in real life he is clearly a lover of dogs. From pictures of him sleeping with pups or kissing pups, the actor has shown his love of canine companions time and time again. And while we don’t if any of these dogs are actually his, it is clear that every single pup he takes a picture with is special in some way.

Henry Cavill is more than just Superman, he is also a dog lover with his own pup named Kal. In fact, we love seeing Kal pop up in Instagram posts, whether he is the focus of them or just there for moral support. We almost wish Kal had his own Instagram account for his adventures, but then again we also love seeing Cavill share his adventures alongside his pup.

Over the years, Sebastian Roche has proven that he can be a versatile actor with the ability to steal a scene. But we think he is even more of a scene stealer when he is sharing pictures of his rescue dog Ziggy. And we have even seen him brushing Ziggy’s teeth, which just goes to show us all that celebrities really are just like us.

Ian Harding might be best known for his role as Ezra on Pretty Little Liars, but on Instagram he is clearly a proud doggy father. In fact, he actually adopted two pups from a rescue in Los Angeles, and his social media is littered with pictures of their furry cuteness. We don’t know about you, but we hit the follow button as much for the pups, as the actor himself.

Julianne Hough is another one of our favorite celebrity dog lovers. And while this particular post from Instagram may only show one of her pups, Lexi, she actually owns two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We love seeing both Lexi and Harley popping up on the dancer and actress’ social media page, and even if it is only one of these cuties, they always bring a smile to our face.

While there are plenty of famous dog lovers in the world, we love being able to see our favorite celebrities loving their pups on social media. These celebrity Instagram accounts definitely give us some of the cutest dog posts which is why we love seeing them pop up in our feeds, especially when their pups are in the picture (or video).
