Miley Cyrus is practicing social distancing, while also giving a pup a new home with her. And this pup’s name is really special.

If you are a fan of Miley Cyrus (and follow her on social media), then you already know that she is not only an animal lover, but she has her own menagerie of furry friends. And now it seems that the singer has added a new pup to the mix.

According to People Magazine, during a live session on Instagram, Cyrus revealed that while she is practicing social distancing, she decided to adopt a new dog. The pup is a shepherd mix that she has actually named after her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus’ new pup is now known as Bo Cyrus after her father’s high school nickname. And if that isn’t super cute, we don’t know what is.

Apparently Bo was adopted from The Wagmor Luxury Spa, Hotel & Rescue, which is where the singer has previously rescued at least one other pup from. This adoption comes on the heels of the rescue issuing a press release that revealed that a number of families have surrendered their pets because they have lost their income following the coronavirus outbreak.

Over the years, Miley Cyrus has brought home many different animals. She has rescued more than one dog, and even brought home a pig back in 2014. Therefore it is not surprising that she has decided to adopt a new pup at this time.

And it is nice to see her stepping up to rescue a pup who may have lost their home because of the coronavirus outbreak. With so many people struggling at this difficult time, it’s always nice to see people stepping up and making a difference, especially if that means they are helping an animal in need.
