How did the dogs of Instagram celebrate St Patrick’s Day 2020?

St Patrick’s Day 2020 was somewhat subdued across the nation due to social distancing with the coronavirus, but the dogs of Instagram made sure to celebrate the howliday in style just the same.

Sir Winston Da Doodle decided to practice his standpup comedy routine, using his little brother Sir Oliver Da Doodle as an audience.

The Las Vegas pair of Goldendoodles also made sure to dress up as leprechuans.

Sir Oliver also decided to try his paw at rephrasing a traditional Irish blessing.

Dex the Cocker Spaniel, the pet of Dog Writers Association of America president Carol Bryant, looked very dashing in his top hat. He also thought howliday jokes were a good plan to bring smiles.

When it comes to the hockey dog community, the New York Islanders’ guide dog in training Tori the Labrador, made sure to wear her specialest and prettiest headbands for the occasion.

“I am luckys to have you all as my hooman frens, stays safe and healthy!” she said in the caption.

Tori also made a point on her stories to urge that Long Island residents temporarily foster dogs in shelters during this crisis to ease the workload on shelter employees and volunteers.

LIkely getting some pinches was the Nashville Predators’ team dog Smash. (Drat those yellow and navy blue team colors – why does Breezer at the Minnesota Wild have to rock the green all the time?)

At least grass is green, and his paws are touching the grass, so technically his paw pads picked up some chlorophyll, and thus have some slight traces of green….so therefore he’s safe from pinches, yes?

Also getting pinched was Hoot the Great Pyrenees, one of the dogs of country singer Brad Paisley and actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley. His expression is priceless!

We hope everyone had a great St Patrick’s Day 2020, and wish all y’all a safe and happy howliday.
