Sir Winston Da Doodle did an email interview with us earlier this week, which ranged on a wide variety of topics.

Dog O’Day recently got the chance to talk with one of the most famous doggos in the Las Vegas area, Sir Winston Da Doodle, an Australian Labrador who’s one of the biggest members of the Vegas Golden Knights community of hockey dogs.

He’s a big fan of sports in general, and he’s also a therapy dog, which is cool.

While it’s the offseason right now for the Knights, he’s found a variety of ways to spend the summer, including lazy days spent in the pool, instructing his little brother Sir Oliver on how to beg for scraps more effectively,  and taking up a new hobby – theater, where he’ll be playing the role of Sandy at the Super Summer Theatre in a stage production of Annie from August 23-25.

Together, especially, Sir Winston and his little brother Sir Oliver look very similar to Duke and Max from The Secret Life of Pets movies.

Dog O’Day: How did you get into the VGK scene? Had you always enjoyed hockey before they came to town?

Sir Winston Da Doodle: I have loved hockey since I was a little pup. My family loves hockey and so when the Knights came to town, we were so excited! That first season was so incredible, you couldn’t help but fall in love with the team. I made a video for the playoffs their first season in April 2018 that the Golden Knights tweeted out, and that kind of got the ball rolling to meet other fans.

After that, I decided to try my paw at social media. Now I’m on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at @winstondadoodle.

Dog O’Day: What is the best part of being a therapy dog, and what does that involve?

Sir Winston Da Doodle: I love making people smile. I have visited hospitals, classrooms, nursing homes, universities and even conventions. Sometimes I do tricks and other times I just sit and get pets. One time I even had my ears braided!!!!
