Are you looking to add a new dog to the family? Have you ever thought about adopting one of the TSA Dogs who may have failed the course? In Texas, you can!

There are plenty of TSA Dogs that are able to get through the course and become successful at protecting airports and the many people who travel through them every day. And then there are the pups who simply aren’t cut out for a life of service and safety.

It is these TSA Dogs that we have always wondered about. What happens next? Where do they go once they fail out of TSA school? Well in Texas, the answer could be your home!

According to Narcity, the TSA in San Antonio, Texas is currently looking for people interested in bringing one of these fun-loving pups home with them. These are TSA Dogs who failed the course and are being made available for adoption free of charge to a good home.

More from Dog of the Day

The dogs available from the TSA are typically medium to larger dogs that are very active. Some of these dogs have simply gotten too old to work, while others are just not cut out for TSA work.

According to the TSA, some of these pups may not be housebroken, but with some training and love, they will be ready for a happy life with a new family. Some of the dogs will also be retired pups with nowhere to go, who have been working as part of the government in other agencies and capacities. Simply put, there are dogs that need a home and can no longer be of service to the United States, but they are still full of life and love.

If you are interested in potentially giving one of these dogs a good home, you can check out the Canine Adoption Program website, where you can learn more and submit an application. There are certain guidelines that must be met, as the TSA wants these pups to have the best life possible one they leave their care. However, if you have what it takes, this could be a great solution for you and these TSA Dogs.

This is such a great program and hopefully all of these pups find their forever homes, especially the dogs that have been retired after working hard for their country.
