TSA officers and their canine coworkers are dealing with the busy holiday travel season, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t in the holiday spirit while they work.

It’s currently one of the biggest travel seasons of the year. And according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), there are more than 900 canine officers who will help their handlers with greeting and inspecting all of the travelers passing through airports across the country. But, just because these canines are hard at work, that doesn’t mean they aren’t celebrating the holidays for themselves.

On social media, the TSA offered followers a chance to see their dogs getting into the holiday spirit, thanks to a number of pictures posted to both Twitter and Instagram. So, while they may be hard at work keeping travelers safe as they pass through the airports, that doesn’t mean these hardworking pups can’t enjoy a bit of the festivities for themselves.

And based on these pictures, it looks like these canine officers really do know how to get into the holiday spirit.

In Austin, these two canine officers were ready to help Santa out in a pinch. This means that if Rudolph or Comet needs to call in sick, they need not fear as Felton and Buddy are ready to pick up the slack and pull the sleigh.

And Buddy wasn’t just looking to pull the sleigh either. In this picture from Austin, it looks like Buddy is always holiday ready as he poses next to this festive bear. Of course, as a hard-working officer, he is ready for anything, which is why we wouldn’t be surprised if Santa did call on him in a pinch.

In Detroit, Perry is ready for both more travelers and the holidays. This handsome boy was definitely holiday ready as he posed in front of a decorated Christmas tree in the airport.

Iza out of Charlotte was all about the gifts in this picture from one of the busiest airports in the country. These presents might not be for this canine officer, but we can’t image Iza not getting rewarded for being a good pup.

This TSA canine officer has decided that if Santa can’t make his rounds, then he has him covered. Sitting in the sleigh for himself, Bak might be in Philadelphia, but he is clearly ready for the North Pole.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the holidays without pictures of friends, family, and coworkers coming together. And in Detroit, these two coworkers were ready to wish everyone a happy holidays, while still helping everyone get to their destinations safely.

Just like the dogs of Instagram, these TSA canine officers were ready to get into the holiday spirit, even as they also had plenty of work to do. While we often forget about these hardworking pups, thanks to the TSA’s social media accounts, we were reminded that these dogs are just as fun-loving as any other canine.
