Dogs of Instagram are getting into the holiday spirit

The holidays are officially upon us, which means decorating, gift giving, and parties. And the dogs of Instagram are getting into the spirit of the season, too.

It’s that time of the year when family and friends come together, decorations go up, and gifts are given. And for many of us it really is the happiest time of the year. But nothing makes us happier than seeing dogs get into the holiday spirit.

Over on Instagram, there are plenty of pups who are clearly ready for the holidays. And if you search for #ChristmasDog, #ChristmasDogsofInstagram, or any number of holiday hashtags, you’ll find yourself with plenty of dogs who are clearly in the holiday spirit.

So, if you need a bit of a mid-week pick-me-up, we have pulled together some of our favorite holiday ready pups, as the dogs of Instagram give us some of their best holiday looks. From reindeer antlers to cozy sweaters, these dogs know how to show off their holiday best in style.

For Wyatt the dachshund it was all about the cozy sweater look. In fact, it seems Wyatt was trying to keep from becoming the next Grinch with his candy cane inspired sweater, complete with hood. And we think he is too cute to go grinchy, so we definitely approve!

Some of the dogs of Instagram even transformed into holiday elves this season. Which we think is actually a good look for them. Especially in this case, where it was all about spreading joy and getting people into the holiday spirit.

And of course we have the reindeer fashion we all love, too. With these big gold antlers, and the red and white bells, this pup is clearly ready for his close up, and his next job as one of Santa’s helpers.

Okay, this corgi may want a new mom for Christmas, but we think mom had the right idea with this cuteness! From his Santa ears headband, to his booties, this corgi is definitely holiday ready. And we love that his backdrop is Christmas presents, because this pup is clearly a gift to the rest of us.

It looks like someone wanted to help get the decorating done. And while this pup may not be dressed up for the holidays, he is clearly ready for them. With a Christmas-y backdrop, an ornament dangling from his mouth, and even more ornaments at his feet, this is one dog who is ready to be helpful.

And finally we have Prim the Greyhound, who got their Elf on and even took an “elfie.” Clearly Prim knows how to get in the holiday spirit, and it has nothing to do with the towering tree they are standing in front of. Nope, all of Prim’s holiday spirit is thanks to that Elf costume.

We think all these dogs of Instagram are ready for the holidays and looking cute while they are at it. From the reindeer to the elves, these pups are looking festive this holiday season.
