2020 Valentine’s Day: Doug the Pug knows tacos are BAE
This Valentine’s Day Doug the Pug is celebrating like we think just about everyone should.
As the calendar quickly points out that it’s nearing 2020 Valentine’s Day Doug the Pug is celebrating the pawliday in an entirely appealing way.
The fashion-styling Pug posed with a heart-shaped platter of tacos, since the more traditional gift of chocolate isn’t good for dogs.
The social media superstar, who has 2.7 million followers on Twitter and another 3.9 million on Instagram, posted this shot a few days ago and, as fans of tasty food in general and tacos in particular, we think it’s a a great plan. “If you don’t get this from your Valentine, they’re not the one,” the caption reads.
While many dog lovers will be spending money on their human significant other this year, a large amount will also be lavishing gifts and attention on their very good boys and girls.
If the Valentine’s Day spirit isn’t quite happening this year because of a nasty breakup recently, you could also help out a shelter by donating money and ask that they write your ex’s name in a litter box, as the Brevard Country SPCA in Titusville, Florida, is doing, according to Rover.
Because, after all, while we love our cats here at Dog O’Day too, sometimes a petty and hilarious action like that is necessary, and certainly cheaper and less destructive than many of the angry breakup tunes on country radio.
Although, depending on the place these hypothetical tacos a la Valentine’s Day Doug the Pug came from and the ingredients in them, a litter box might come in handy.
How are you planning on spending your 2020 Valentine’s Day with your pup?
