It’s the age-old debate of cats versus dogs. And Monopoly is determined to solve the classic argument once and for all with an official board game from Hasbro.

When it comes to showing appreciation for our furry friends, we look for anything and everything that shows off our love. And what better way to do that than with a board game like Monopoly?

While there are Monopoly-style games out there dedicated to dogs in general, as well as specific breeds, when it comes to the official Hasbro Monopoly games, this Cats Vs. Dogs game will be a one of a kind. In fact, even the game play for this edition will be unique. Rather than play as individuals, players will form teams, with one side playing for cats and the other side for dogs.

According to People Magazine, rather than buying and trading properties as you go around the board, players will pick up specific traits and even funny titles. Everything from Best Pout to Trick Master will be up for grabs. And at the end of the game, the team with the most titles under their belt is the winner.

Not only is the way the game played a bit different, but there is even new money that was especially made for this edition. And the game cards you know as Chance and Community Chest are getting a makeover as well. Plus the game tokens even had a face lift to fit in with the Cats Vs. Dogs theme. Basically, if it could be changed, it was.

I don’t know about you, but I am definitely team dog all the way. And of course, I can’t wait to see all the updates made to the classic game in order to make this the perfect board game for both cat and dog lovers.

And over on Amazon, Monopoly lovers looking to expand their board game collections can pre-order this version of the game for just $19.99. And while you may already be able to order your copy of the game, you won’t actually get it until it is released on July 15.
