How did the dogs of Instagram celebrate Halloween 2019?
Halloween 2019 has come and gone, and many of the dogs of Instagram dressed up in their best costumes for the occasion.
Some costumes were more comfortable than others, and for some costumes the bipeds thought were cuter than the wearers did, but they all deserve at least an 11/10, in our opinion, for being very good boys and girls.
Hank the Care Dog, a Great Pyrenees therapy dog who works in the Oklahoma City area, attending a Howloween party at OU Children’s Hospital, meeting some cool Berners while wearing his Oklahoma State Cowboys jersey.
This costume doubly makes sense, as Pyrs are a livestock guardian breed, so would naturally feel at home working alongside the cowboys in the pasture.
Layla, a central Oklahoma doggo who belongs to young married couple Justin and Elizabeth Romaine, couldn’t decide whether she was a sweet old lady or the Big Bad Wolf awaiting Red Riding Hood’s arrival at the cottage, but either way she was very adorable.
She also excels at brewing coffee and knows more theology than most humans.
Despite it not being exactly clear what she’s famous for (except for appearing on the reality show centered around her sisters), Khloe Kardashian is one of those social media influencers who draw online buzz from merely existing, apparently.
Kardashian chose to dress up as legendary Disney villainess Cruelle De Vil from 101 Dalmatians for Halloween 2019,and she’s certainly rich enough to play the part.
Still, we much prefer Emma Stone in the role.
Vegas Golden Knights superfan Deke-Henri Furry the Jack Russell Terrier‘s favorite costume for his first Halloween was a convict, which his older brother would say was quite appropriate.
He could also re-use the shirt part as a referee jersey for street hockey games with his pals.
Deke also had to get dressed up as a spider, which he HATED.
Nashville Predators team dog Smash also wore several costumes, accompanying Preds players and team mascot Gnash to one of the two children’s hospitals in Nashville as Woody (everyone went as characters from Pixar’s Toy Story franchise) and then becoming a UPS delivery mutt.
Finally, Dexter, the Cocker Spaniel who belongs to Dog Writers Association of America president Carol Bryant, played it simple this year as a football.
More specifically, he was probably Lucy’s football, since no one in their right mind would possibly be able to kick a ball like that.
We hope all dogs, children and grownups had a fantastic and safe time during Halloween 2019.
