Titans finally gave us Krypto and Superboy’s story in the episode titled ‘Conner’ and yet, by the end we are left with a shocking moment that left us speechless.

Our Krypto watch has finally come to an end on Titans, as the episode titled ‘Conner,’ finally gave us answers to where Superboy came from and how he meets the team. And yet, by the end of the episode, we were left with even more questions, our jaws dropped, and worry over the fate of our heroic canine.

Up first, we have to talk about the fact that Superboy is technically a clone of Superman/Clark Kent and Lex Luthor. While Conner may not have many memories, the ones that he does have seem to be a combination of both Clark and Lex’s memories. And while this may seem a bit odd, perhaps it is the fact that more of his memories seem to be Lex’s that really caught our attention.

While much of the focus throughout this episode is on Superboy learning how to live in this world he finds himself thrust into, but also on who he is as his own person, there was still plenty of Krypto to appreciate. In fact, Krypto was at Conner’s side no matter where he went and what he did, which makes sense as these two are a dynamic duo.

And we even got to see these two work together to take on the militia men who came after them after their escape from the Cadmus laboratories. From Krypto using his laser eyes to melt a gun to Conner shielding Lex Luthor’s father from a spray of bullets with his own chest, these two heroes are a perfect pair.

Although I mentioned the fact that we got to see Conner meeting members of the Titans, it was basically the final moments of the episode, and yet it was epic. Using his gifts, Conner is able to see the moment when Dick loses his hold on Jason and he begins his fall from the side of the building where Deathstroke had him ready to die.

And while we were left with the potential horror of Jason’s death, thankfully Conner was there to save the day. But that doesn’t mean the episode ended on a happy note, as instead of getting to meet the rest of the Titans, we watch in horror as the worst happens, both to Krypto and Conner.

While I won’t spoil those shocking final moments, I will say that it left us with our jaws dropped and eagerly anticipating the next episode. We can’t wait to see what happens next now that at least some members of the team have met Conner. And not only that, but there is still the issue of what happens to Krypto.

There are so many questions we have going into the next episode of Titans. And yet for now, we are excited that we finally got to meet Superboy and Krypto finally, even if the way the episode ended has worried about their future.
