Krypto watch remains in effect into the fifth episode of Titans’ second season. But at least we finally got to see Gar shift again.

The fifth episode of Titans second season, titled ‘Deathstroke,’ left us once again waiting for the arrival of Superboy and Krypto the Superdog, but after multiple episodes without a single animal, we finally got to see Gar as a tiger again.

With a title like ‘Deathstroke,’ we knew this episode was going to be a bit dark and dangerous, and with our super pup still being missing in action, we were on the lookout for any animals that might make an appearance. And while there was plenty of action this episode, we finally got to see Gar going full beast mode, which is something we have certainly missed.

We might be on Krypto watch here at Dog O’Day, but we also love Titans, which is why this episode had us on the edge of our seats. Not only did we watch the team deal with an ethical dilemma, as they argued over turning Rose over to Deathstroke, but we also saw Jason Todd’s life being put in peril.

While we may refer to Jason as Robin 2.0, he is still very much a part of the Titans, and that means we are worried about what will happen with him being in Deathstroke’s clutches. And it seems we have plenty of reasons to worry. (We won’t spoil anything here, but by the end of the episode it certainly feels like all hope is lost.)

Over the last few episodes, we have complained about the lack of animals present in the show, but at the same time, seeing Gar in his tiger form made it clear that a lot was at stake this time around. With the team on edge and fighting to save Jason from Deathstroke, this episode had a lot to offer. Even as they left us on what is clearly a cliffhanger, we can’t wait to see what comes next, especially as it is clear that episode six will finally introduce us to Superboy, and that means Krypto should not be far behind.

The second season of Titans has been delivering some of the best episodes of the series and we can’t wait for what comes next. Of course, we are also excited over the arrival of Krypto and Superboy, as we can’t wait to see how they help the team.
