Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner got matching dog tattoos for their dog Waldo, who died in an accident last week.

Singer Joe Jonas and his actress wife Sophie Turner got matching dog tattoos in honor of their dog Waldo, who died in an Manhattan car accident last week.

Waldo got loose while on a walk and was run over.

He was an Alaskan Klee Kai, a non-AKC recognized breed that’s essentially a pocket version of a Siberian Husky.

Jonas posted a picture of his newest ink on his Instagram account, with the caption “RIP my little angel.”

His brother and bandmate Kevin and his sister-in-law Priyanka Chopra both commented with little black hearts of sadness, while Jessica Chastain wrote “I’m so sorry.”

At Dog O’Day we learned of these tats from The Today Show.

Turner posted her matching tattoo on her Instagram story, with the caption “I miss you, Waldo. Rest in Peace my little baby.”

Turner is best known as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, owner of one of the direwolves and eventually governor of the North. She also played one of the original X-Men, Jean Grey/Phoenix, in several X-Men movies, most recently in X-Men: Dark Phoenix (which Chastain also starred in).

Waldo’s older brother Porky is still alive and well, though he is likely missing his brother very much.

Jonas got Porky as a surprise gift for Turner in September 2017, and then Waldo joined the family in April 2018. Porky made a big splash during the couple’s wedding earlier this summer.

Turner starred in the music video for the Jonas Brothers’ single “Sucker,” which was filmed in an English castle and naturally starred many adorable Pembroke Welsh Corgis, as Queen Elizabeth is a lifelong fan of the breed.

While a tattoo might be a little extreme for some people in terms of memorializing a beloved pet (though not if your name is Dave Bautista), there’s also a baseball cap from Skull Pup, which can be customized with the name of your lost friend who’s no longer here.
