Henry Cavill’s dog, Kal, goes Mission Impossible while on set with his owner

Following Henry Cavill on Instagram is also a great way to follow his dog Kal’s adventures as well. And his latest story goes full Mission Impossible.

If you are a fan of Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Mission: Impossible – Fallout), then you likely know all about his dog, Kal. Over the years, Cavill has shared a number of stories and touching tributes to his canine companion, particularly on Instagram, where he will sometimes treat his followers to pictures and videos of his furry friend.

In the latest adventures of the actor and his trusted canine sidekick, it seems that Kal went full Mission Impossible while on set with the actor, and it all revolves around a cat (who was probably minding his own business). On Instagram, Cavill shared two pictures of himself pushing Kal on a bellhop cart, along with a very interesting story of what transpired.

While he was getting makeup done in his trailer, Kal was at his side looking out at the world. However, the dog’s relaxing vista was disturbed by a stray cat that decided to stroll by without realizing the peril of his actions. A mad dash ensued, with Kal chasing the cat and Henry Cavill chasing his dog.

If it sounds hysterical, it kind of is. However, while the hijinks of dog and cat are always worth a bit of a giggle, it seems that Kal didn’t get out of this chase unscathed.

The pup strained his shoulder while chasing the feline (the cat got away safely, if you were wondering). This strain led to not only the two adorable pictures posted by the actor, but also him carrying his pup back to their room. While we may never see a picture of Cavill carrying Kal, which even the actor called cute, if impractical, it’s a nice image.

Kal may be dealing with a bit of a battle wound from his mad dash to catch the intruding cat, but he now has a “royal chariot” to get him where he needs to go. However, Cavill does hope his pup doesn’t get too used to this royal treatment.

Hopefully Kal feels better soon, and stays away from those stray set cats. After all, we wouldn’t want him to get injured again. For now though, at least we have this gem of a story and these pictures to enjoy.

And of course, we now have further proof that it’s not just Henry Cavill who is an action star, it is also his dog.
