Kevin Hart reveals that he is a dog person while doing press for Secret Life of Pets 2
While doing press for his upcoming movie, Secret Life of Pets 2, Kevin Hart answered the ultimate question of whether he was a dog or cat person.
One of the biggest debates of the animal world may just be are you a dog person or a cat person. While we love all animals, that doesn’t mean we don’t get in on this debate from time to time. And we aren’t alone with this discussion, as even Kevin Hart has shared which animal he prefers.
While doing press for the upcoming movie, Secret Life of Pets 2, in which the actor plays Snowball, Hart made it clear that he is all about dogs. Speaking to RTE Entertainment, the actor straight up said that he is “a dog person.” But that’s not all he had to say, as he made it clear why he prefers canines over felines.
According to Kevin Hart, “I don’t do cats. I don’t trust cats.” And even Eric Stonestreet, who voices the Newfoundland, Duke, chimed in with his thoughts on cats by saying that with a single look they can “put you in a weird space.” Even as Stonestreet claimed that he does not mind cats since he grew up with them, he understands where Hart is coming from.
And Kevin Hart is not just a dog person in general, he is also a dog owner, with two at home. He shared that he has both a Doberman Pinscher and a min pin, which are the miniature versions of the larger Dobermans.
Eric Stonestreet also talked about his own four-legged friend, revealing that he has “a mutt” named Roscoe, who he says is a mix of Staffordshire and cattle dog. The actor said that Roscoe is not only a very trainable pup, but also very smart as well.
We love learning more about some of our favorite actors, especially when they are part of the cast of a movie like Secret Life of Pets 2. Considering both men voice two of our leading pets, it makes sense that we would want to know more about their own animals and which furry friends they prefer.
With Secret Life of Pets 2 hitting theaters on June 7, we can’t wait to see which characters steal the show this time, especially considering the new additions to the cast, like Tiffany Haddish and Harrison Ford. Of course, we will always love our Snowball, Max, and Duke.
