Secret Life of Pets perfectly captures the days of the week in video montage
The Secret Life of Pets 2 is getting ready for its June 7 premiere in theaters, but in the lead up to the film, the movie’s Instagram account is giving us all life with its on-point content.
If you happen to be a fan of Secret Life of Pets, then you will want to follow their Instagram account. Not only do you get treated to teasers for the movies (both the first one and the sequel), but you also get some quality content featuring our favorite characters. Which brings us to the video montage posted by the Secret Life of Pets account that gave us one of the more accurate depictions of the days of the week.
On May 21, the Instagram account for the movie shared the perfect post about what a typical week looks like. In the caption for the video montage they said, “Spent my week like…”
With Monday kicking off (literally) with Gidget kicking over a coffee cup onto a laptop and short circuiting it, to Wednesday showing our favorite hamster running in his wheel as he tells us that, “I run and I run and I run and I get out and I’ve gone nowhere. Nowhere!,” it feels like the most accurate representation of a work week ever. And of course we can’t forget the weekend crew as we see Friday night being a doggy rave and Saturday being a spa day for Gidget. Of course Sunday is all about getting everyone together for pizza and basketball (or really any big watch party).
Honestly, it was like the Secret Life of Pets people peered into our souls with this one. After all, there are plenty of times when this is exactly how the week ends up going.
And sure, we may not be pets, but who hasn’t wanted to kick over a coffee cup or play with a doorstop like Chloe does on Tuesday? This may not have been a teaser that was expressly posted for the sequel, but it certainly got us excited for more of these characters, especially Gidget, Max, Chloe, and Snowball.
From the raving dogs to the hamster in his wheel, this montage about the days of the week was the perfect reminder of just how much fun Secret Life of Pets is and why we can’t wait for the second movie.
