Secret Life of Pets 2’s new trailer dives into the emotional lives of our pets

The newest trailer for Secret Life of Pets 2 is here just in time for National Pet Day. And that means doing a deep dive into our pets’ emotions.

We have a new trailer for the upcoming sequel to the hit, The Secret Life of Pets. And while the first movie was more of an action-packed rescue and adventure film, this time around it looks like we are going deep into the emotions of our pets. And sure, we are going to see more of their secret lives and what they do when we are not around, but this time it seems we are going to go much deeper with the pets.

As the trailer pointed out, our pets are a lot of things. They are heroic, curious, teachers, and of course, they worry about their humans. And all of this is a chance to remind us that our pets are a lot like us in many ways.

While this new trailer gave us the emotional aspect of our pets, it was also another chance to see a bit of the story we can expect, and the new characters we can’t wait to meet. Basically, this trailer had it all, including a visit to the vet for Max. And Max may not think he needs help from the vet for his inner turmoil, but at least the cat he was chatting with does.

Once again, Secret Life of Pets looks like it is going to be an adorable and fun ride, as we again get to see pets like cats, dogs, rabbits, and more working together, driving cars and scooters, and even going on a rescue. And of course, we can’t overlook the fact that Snowball is trying to be a superhero now, which is a great development for his character after trying to be a villain in the first Secret Life of Pets.

Besides seeing some of our favorite characters popping up again in the dishwasher, in a litter box, or getting rubbed down by the stand mixer, we also saw two of the new dogs in the movie making an appearance. And considering one of those dogs is voiced by Harrison Ford, we couldn’t be happier to see him pop up again.

I don’t know about you, but I am not only excited for the Secret Life of Pets sequel, I am also excited for new pets to join the mix. Hopefully the sequel lives up to the original, and perhaps even exceeds it, after all, we all love our pets.
