When one thinks of Scooby-Doo, a few things come to mind. Whether it's mysteries, the Mystery Machine or Scooby Snacks, we all know that the frightful pooch has a huge appetite.

Given that Scooby-Doo has been around since 1969, the canine has his fair share of different specials, holiday or otherwise. In doing some research, there doesn't appear to be a Thanksgiving Scooby-Doo special.

In looking at other holidays, Scooby-Doo does have both a Christmas and a Halloween special. I can see Halloween, but a Christmas special before a Thanksgiving one? It's unimaginable. Then again in the world of Scooby-Doo, things aren't always what they seem.

Regardless, the one question is why we haven't gotten a Thanksgiving-themed Scooby-Doo special yet and if there's one planned for the future.

Scooby-Doo and Thanksgiving are a match made in heaven.

There are so many different avenues to go down when it comes to Scooby-Doo and adding Thanksgiving into the mix could be even cooler. Whether the gang would be sitting down to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at a ghostly mansion or a tragedy at the Coolsville Thanksgiving parade, the possibilities are endless.

The events could be even more related to Shaggy and Scooby, though. Someone could have taken the Mystery Gang's Thanksgiving dinner and they have to track them down. A ghost could be trying to scare everyone into not eating. There are so many fun ideas related to Thanksgiving dinner which would have Scooby and Shaggy in the midst of the action.

No matter what WB decided to do, it's beyond time for us to get a Scooby-Doo Thanksgiving special as so many other shows have already done it. Until then, there are still plenty of episodes and movies where Scooby and Shaggy eat more than a Thanksgiving dinner serving. We can only hope that Scooby-Doo will make a triumph return to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as well.
