Everyone has a favorite Disney couple. Whether it's a classic pick like Mickey and Minnie or Eric and Ariel, there is no shortage of couples to choose from, but what about Pongo and Perdita?

When looking at all the past Disney couples, the couple I rarely see getting talked about are Pongo and Perdita. These two made their animated debut in 1961's 101 Dalmatians. While Perdita started the film by just having a few puppies, things quickly escalated for her and Pongo.

Upon figuring out Cruella's evil plans and finding all the puppies, the two end up becoming parents to 101 little dalmatians. Honestly, if that isn't the definition of couple goals, I don't know what is because I can't even imagine, having that many dogs in a house at once. Frankly, these two don't get enough love for simply doing that.

Additionally, Pongo and Perdita go through some major challenges throughout the movie including their puppies being taken away from them, possibly being harmed by Cruella and her goons, and having to figure out where their puppies are. As parents, it was an incredibly stressful time for them, but the two didn't give up.

Pongo and Perdita don't get the love they deserve.

Aside from all of that, it's clear Pongo and Perdita found each other at the best time. Seeing Roger and Anita fall in love just feels like the icing on the cake. From the very start, it was clear that Pongo and Perdita were going to end up together. Of course, at the time, there was no way they thought they'd have to be mom and dad to 101 puppies.

The legacy of Pongo and Perdita doesn't just come from one film, though. There was 1996's 101 Dalmatians movie which was a live-action film. Honestly, this one didn't get the love it deserves because looking at Disney live-action films now, this one was pretty solid. There were also the animated sequels which featured our favorite doggy couple again.

Ultimately, there is something so romantic about seeing all these different iterations of Pongo and Perdita throughout Disney's catalog. It's clear the movie resonated with fans even though it still feels so underrated. While Cruella tends to take center stage, the love of Pongo and Perdita is something worth mentioning as well.

The good news is that you can stream 101 Dalmatians on Disney+ along with the live-action films, 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure and 101 Dalmatian Street. Disney has our back when it comes to all the 101 Dalmatians content you can watch ahead of Valentine's Day.
