Paw Patrol is one of those shows none of us imagined having a spinoff of, yet Nick Jr managed to pull it off with Rubble & Crew. Premiering in 2023, the show is now in its second season and clearly getting the ratings and attention Nick hoped for.
Rubble & Crew, along with its predecessor Paw Patrol, was both renewed for more episodes, thus meaning more seasons. A press release shared with Dog O'Day said, "Both series have been picked up for an additional 26 episodes each, marking seasons 12 and 13 for the award-winning animated series PAW Patrol, and the third and fourth seasons of Rubble & Crew." However, that's not the only exciting news to report.
In addition to both series being renewed, there will be a crossover episode on Rubble & Crew with Rocky coming to visit his good buddy: Rubble. The episode is called "The Crew & Rocky Build a Bear Island," which follows the team working together to help create a home for the baby bear and his family. Honestly, that sounds downright adorable.
As someone who has watched both series, it does feel like they're similar without being too similar which is always good. However, this feels even more special when it comes to Rubble & Crew as the series is so new but has already garnered a lot of love and excitement from its fanbase.
Rubble & Crew seemed unlikely but is putting in the work.
When looking at the Paw Patrol crew, it never seemed like Rubble was going to be the one to get his own show yet that's what Nick Jr decided. Thankfully, their idea paid off and the show has become a favorite for Rubble fans and Paw Patrol lovers alike. The series might not have been what parents were thinking or expecting but it's a lot of fun.
Most notably, Rubble & Crew focuses on the construction aspect, which can appeal to a wide range of kids and have them asking questions about different construction equipment and jobs. Plus, there are a few different dogs in Rubble's family. Honestly, that's part of the reason why it's such a fun watch, as each of the dogs plays such a unique role, similar to Paw Patrol.
Aside from featuring our favorite Paw Patrol characters, Rubble & Crew even got Aaron Judge to guest star in an episode, which is so cool. Clearly, some of our favorite athletes are fans of Rubble & Crew, so hopefully, the excitement and love for Rubble & Crew will continue. Either way, you can still get your Rubble fix with both shows on Paramount+.
