Leading up to the 2025 Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet, there has been plenty of focus on the different rescue pups participating in this year’s game. And this includes a Pupularity Contest on social media!

This pupularity contest allowed fans to choose their favorites among all of the puppies involved. It was a bracket style competition with Team Fluff on one side and Team Ruff on the other.

Fans and followers of the Puppy Bowl were able to vote for the puppy that they believe should be the winner of the Pupularity Playoffs. It came down to Dee-Bone Samuel from Team Ruff and Whoopie from Team Fluff in the final round. In the end, the winner of the title Most Pupular went to Team Ruff’s Dee-Bone Samuel.

According to his Puppy Bowl profile, it seems that Dee-Bone Samuel is a poodle mix out of Sacramento, California. He is described as being very similar to his namesake, which means he is a “versatile player on the field.”

Will Dee-Bone Samuel claim the title of MVP and Most Pupular for Puppy Bowl XXI?

If Dee-Bone Samuel really does live up to his football inspired namesake we expect him to really go out there and play hard on the field. But what does that mean for the big game? If Team Ruff is able to pull out the victory, it could mean that our Poodle mix might end up also winning MVP of the game as well. And if you were wondering, MVP in this case stands for Most Valuable Puppy.

Although we believe that Team Fluff is likely to win it all this season, there is a chance that Team Ruff could go back to back. And if they do, perhaps Dee-Bone Samuel will be able to take on double the titles as both most pupular and most valuable.

If this pup leaves it all on the line and the field, there is a big chance that he could take home the title of MVP. But there are a number of other puppies that have what it takes to really steal the show. And of course, if Team Fluff does end up winning then we have to look at that side to find our MVP.

We can’t wait to find out who is going to walk away with the title of MVP of Puppy Bowl XXI. And if you’re ready to watch the competition for yourself, it airs on Animal Planet, Discovery, Max and more February 9 at 2 PM ET.
